Description
21st September is the annual United Nations International Day of Peace (http://www.un.org/en/events/peaceday/).
The Northern Ireland Inter-Faith Forum, in collaboration with other local organisations, will be hosting an interfaith lunchtime gathering for members of different faith and belief communities. This will include readings, songs and reflections from a variety of the different faith and belief communities now represented in Northern Ireland, focusing on this year’s Peace Day theme: "Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All”. This event will also be part of the annual Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week, which this year focuses on the theme “Safe space, shared space”.
The gathering will take place in Riddell Hall, Stranmillis Road, Belfast, from 12.30 to 13.30, followed by refreshments. Those attending will be invited to make a donation of at least £3.
Please bring this event to the attention of your own communities and networks and look out for further information shortly.
PLEASE PLAN TO JOIN US FOR THIS INTERFAITH PEACE EVENT!
Many thanks.
