AGM & Panel Discussion

To all members and friends of the Inter-Faith Forum:

The next meeting of the Forum will be a special meeting combining the Annual General Meeting with a special panel discussion on the theme of religious intolerance. It will be on Wednesday 11th March.

 

 

The meeting will start at 7pm with tea and coffee

The venue is Stranmillis University College, Central Building, Seminar Room 4

The speakers on the panel are Rabbi David Singer from the Belfast Jewish Community, Sheikh Anwar Mady from the Belfast Islamic Centre and Rev. Dr. Lesley Carroll, minister at Fortwilliam & Macrory Presbyterian Church  The discussion will be chaired by Mr Peter Osborne, chairman of the Community Relations Council.

You are invited to consider questions to be put to the speakers. It would be very helpful if you could send questions to us before 2nd March so that the speakers have an opportunity to consider them in advance. The evening will commence with the Annual General Meeting. It is not expected that the business of the AGM will take more than 30 minutes. In order to save time during the AGM reports will be sent to all email contacts in advance.

The members of the Executive Committee are elected at the AGM. Please consider nominating members or volunteering yourself to serve on the Committee for the coming year. Both the Annual General Meeting and the panel discussion are open to the public. Please circulate this email to others who might be interested.

The membership subscription is currently £10 and can be paid at the meeting.
