Lunchtime Lecture Series

This autumn the Inter-Faith Forum is organising an extensive range of activities including a campaign to raise awareness of faith diversity, our normal quarterly evening meetings and a series of monthly lunchtime lectures.

The Lunchtime Lecture series is being organised in collaboration with the Northern Ireland Dialogue Society.  The lectures will feature distinguished local thinkers and innovators from a range of disciplines.  The aim of the series is to encourage debate and inter-faith dialogue, as well as fostering better relations and understanding between the diverse faith traditions present in Belfast and beyond.

Our inaugural lecture on 'Faith in Human Rights' will be given by Prof. Colin Harvey (Professor of Human Rights Law, Head of the Law School and a member of Senate at Queen’s University Belfast) on Monday 10th October 2011 at Edgehill Theological College, 9 Lennoxvale, Belfast, BT9 5BY.

Participants are invited to arrive at 12.45pm for a complimentary buffet lunch.  The lecture will commence at 1.10pm, last for 30 min, and will be followed by a 20 min discussion period.
